  • Where can I place a shipping container home or building?
    Our shipping container homes and buildings can be placed on any property that you own. Typically, our clients place these in yards as ADU and auxillary buildings or on a lot as a vacation home or rental.
  • Does the cost of the home or building include the cost of land?
    No, the cost is for the unit fully finished ready to be delivered to land that the owner already purchased.
  • Can I rent out my tiny home or building?
    Units we build are ready to be rented out as soon as they are connected! Owners will need to consult with local officials to determine whether rentals are permitted in their area.
  • How long does it take to build a container home or building?
    Our estimated build time to completion is 8-12 weeks from the time of plan approval by the owner and the local authorities. When placing a tiny home order, we will work together to build your exact timeframe that you can hold us to!
  • Does Las Casitas offer financing options?
    Yes, we have private lenders that can assist with financing options. Please contact us for more information.
  • What is the service area for Las Casitas LLC?
    We currently service the western USA. States include Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Nevada, California, Oregon, and Washington.
  • What design options are available for container homes and buildings?
    At Las Casitas, all of our homes and buildings are custom-designed to meet the specific needs and preferences of our clients. Our architects and structural engineers ensure that all plans are structurally sound and compliant with local building codes. We work closely with city officials to ensure that all designs are in compliance with city ordinances.
  • Who is responsible for obtaining permits for the construction of a tiny home or building?
    We prefer to work with local authorities through the design process to make sure our units are built exactly to code and avoiding future issues. We charge a service fee with our design process that includes this feature. The homeowner may choose to take care of obtaining permits if so desired.
  • Is delivery and connection included in the cost of a container home or building?
    Delivery and connection costs vary depending on the location and size of the building. These costs will be determined on a case-by-case basis in consultation with the customer. The fees are not included in the cost of the container building.
  • What is the pricing for container homes and buildings?
    We offer a base pricing for our container homes and buildings, as well as options for upgrades and customization. Please contact us for more information on pricing options.
  • How do I add a new question & answer?
    To add a new FAQ follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Add a new question & answer 3. Assign your FAQ to a category 4. Save and publish. You can always come back and edit your FAQs.
  • Can I insert an image, video, or GIF in my FAQ?
    Yes. To add media follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Create a new FAQ or edit an existing one 3. From the answer text box click on the video, image or GIF icon 4. Add media from your library and save.
  • How do I edit or remove the 'Frequently Asked Questions' title?
    You can edit the title from the FAQ 'Settings' tab in the Editor. To remove the title from your mobile app go to the 'Site & App' tab in your Owner's app and customize.
